Nautical activities: What impact on the environment?
Today, the European Confederation of Nautical Industries – ECNI released the study commissioned to an international team of experts on the environmental impact of nautical activities. The aim for this study is twofold: establishing and understanding the true impact of recreational activities on the marine and aquatic environment, and taking full account of other pollution sources and pressures.
IMC 2008
Euromarina will participate in the IMC 2008, scheduled for May 25-28, 2008, on the Flemish seacoast where marinas’ team with cross channel cruising yachts, the conference will be held in the Media Center in Oostende, Belgium.
Constitution du Groupement Européen de Développement et Coopération (GEDeC) ODYSSEA-UE
Un an après la signature de l’Acte fondateur Européen et après une période de présentation et de concertation européenne, ODYSSEA est donc désormais en phase opérationnelle, et pour accompagner, prolonger, renforcer, mais aussi et surtout rendre durable la stratégie de développement territorial du projet, EUROMARINA, la FFPP et la Fédération Espagnole des Ports de Plaisance (FEADPT) convaincues que les partenariats public/privé doivent être privilégiés à ces fins, ont ratifié en date du 25 avril 2007 la constitution du Groupement Européen de Développement et Coopération (GEDeC) ODYSSEA-UE qui sera l’outil de déploiement opérationnel du concept par lequel les partenaires définiront et mettront en œuvre leurs projets de coopération territoriale européenne.

Seatraining first meeting in Brussels 5-02-08
The first meeting of the project’s partners took place in Brussels on 5 February at which the aims of Seatraining were presented by Julio Martinez of FEPORTS, Xavier Mangrané of Euromarina, Joan Bellavista, who was standing in for Gabriel de Sandoval of FEAPDT, Giuseppe Meli of Assonautica and Miss Orsolya Szijj of INNOREG. This initial conference concluded with speeches by Pedro Velazquez Hernandez from the EC DG Education and Culture-Sport unit and Miss Nathalie Hesketh from the EC Maritime Policy Task Force, who emphasised the importance of training for the marina industry in agreement with the Maritime Policy of the EU.
